Job Scope

 

The Global Marketing Copywriter will act as a content writer and editor on the Marketing Communications (MarCom) team. This position will have the ability to distill complex scientific content into simple and easy-to-understand content, ensure all content is grammatically correct, professional, compelling, and brand-compliant, meet deadlines for multiple projects of varying complexities and manage the approval process on the materials you review. Within this position you should feel comfortable using AI to streamline your work. 

 

Job Duties and Responsbilities 

 

  • Edit, write, and generate high-quality content that is consistent with brand and corporate style standards for all communication channels, including, but not limited to: internal communications, corporate website, print and digital advertising, blogs, social media, e-mail, sales sheets, social posts, white papers, and other product collateral
  • Create new content that communicates product benefits, addresses customer needs, and emphasizes brand
  • Conduct research to ensure content is accurate, up to date, informative, and engaging
  • Ensure messaging is consistent and maintained across all channels and content is clear, concise, and suitable for its intended use
  • Interview subject matter experts (customers, thought leaders, and executive staff) to deliver the latest insights on a given topic
  • Maintain writing style guidelines to ensure consistency in messaging and tone, and improve quality of submitted content
  • Use AI-powered content tools (e.g., Copilot) to support brainstorming, research, and early content exploration
  • Leverage AI to generate first-draft concepts, refine messaging, or explore alternative phrasing while maintaining brand voice
  • Work on concurrent projects and ensure that deliverables are achieved on time, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and creativity
  • Ensure content is engaging, easy to understand, and highly informative for our audiences
  • Iterate and update content and materials for accuracy and completeness
  • Manage the approval process and communicate out reminders to those necessary
  • Generate marketing ideas to boost customer engagement, brand awareness, and sales
  • Support cross-functional departments by improving review processes and communications
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Education, Experience and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree Technical writing or scientific field required
  • 3+ Years Technical writing or scientific field required
  • Familiarity with AP or Chicago Manual of Style for writing
  • Established writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Proven ability to write with clarity, creativity, and attention to detail
  • High attention to detail with excellent spelling and grammatical skills
  • Self-starter with ability to plan and manage a writing project from start to finish
  • Able to write snappy, short copy for headlines and subheads, while also being able to write concise, clear, informational and promotional copy
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted writing or content-generation tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe
  • Familiarity with online project management tools, such as Workfront and Asana
  • Skilled in working with templates, styles, and brand standards
