Job Scope
- Analysis, maintenance and support of the compensation plan systems which provide sales decisions and support information to all sales and marketing personnel.
- The development and measurement of sales compensation plans and reporting systems and their adaptation with ever-changing market conditions.
- Designing, preparing and providing detailed analysis and recommendations to sales and marketing representatives, and management regarding sales results, commission calculations, commission statements, performance rankings, SPIFF or contest management, and other business measures.
- Driving solutions for specific areas of the business, either geographical or platform specific. Also, the Incentive Compensation Analyst promotes cooperation and teamwork between the commercial teams and internal functional areas in supporting the global sales forces.
- Managing and routinely updating sales reports for revenue and customer product utilization that will guide the sales organization to understand current performance to goal.
- Participating in sales strategy and marketing plans for sales team with visibility and accountability for territory plans, quota setting, and pipeline development.
- Working closely with Sales Operations management to ensure that commission forecasting systems and processes will meet goals.
- Working in a high-intensity environment in which they are responsible for several concurrent tasks, which makes it important to multitask and solve problems quickly.
- A solid understanding of sales processes as well as an understand.
What you will be doing:
- Development and maintenance of compensation tools, which include but are not limited to Salesforce.com and Oracle; also provides detailed analysis for specific geographical and/or platform specific ad hoc reporting and general support.
- Processing of sales compensation through direct teamwork with accounting and payroll.
- Administration and publishing of monthly, quarterly and annual summary compensation and performance ranking statements for each individual participating in compensation plans.
- Acting as liaison between commercial and internal organizations for all commission related items including but not limited to sales force automation products (intranet applications, etc.); assisting in the development and maintenance of all SFA tools and databases based upon the organization’s changing needs.
- Generate reports as required by the global commercial teams.
- Participate in process improvement projects as directed.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, accounting or finance
- 3-5 years, Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Sales, Marketing/Sales Operations or Finance
- Strong knowledge of and experience with Excel
- Knowledge of Salesforce.com, Oracle, Tableau, Access a plus
- Self-starter with proven record of continual learning and growth
- Ability to work mostly independently, but also in collaboration with various teams
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, facilitation, research, and problem
- solving skills to support working cross-functionally with internal customers including varying
- levels of Finance and Commercial Operations management
- Ability to be a self-starter and independent worker, allowing for continual learning and growth
- in order to successfully fulfill job requirements
- Excellent organizational & time-management skills, with focus on accuracy, attention to detail,
- and timely record keeping
- Results-oriented and dedicated to providing high quality customer service
