Job Scope
The Manufacturing Technician II, Instruments will be responsible for the assembly, integration of mechanical, fluidic, electronic, optical and electro-mechanical systems. Delivering manufacturing requirements against production or project schedules within a focused manufacturing operation with a work schedule may include alternate shifts. This position we handle system integration testing and troubleshooting for all products in of support quality manufacturing production as a typical day to day, maintain product knowledge, documentation transfer, train and inert-departmental communication and perform assigned tasks that utilize their interdisciplinary skills to perform integration troubleshooting and assigned field service tasks.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Stages material for production as needed.

Coordinate with other technicians daily in support of integration testing, manual instruction development and production process development. All to support a quality process and product.

Hands-on assembly, test and troubleshooting of system builds and re-work.

Will be responsible for becoming proficient at building subassemblies currently produced in manufacturing.

Work from documented procedures and maintain quality data.

Deliver manufacturing requirements and attainment of production schedule.

Coordinate process and manual instruction updates.

Share knowledge and train co-workers and new employees.

Establish an effective working partnership with other Luminex departments to promote effective communication and transfer knowledge/experience to others.

Participate in applicable departmental and interdepartmental training

Maintain current and effective training to standard operating procedures, work instructions, and applicable changes affecting the Reagent Manufacturing.

Maintain cleanliness and integrity of manufacturing and storage areas.

Performs timely and accurate inventory cycle counts.; Performs timely and accurate inventory-based transactions in Oracle.

Maintain personal compliance and facilitate departmental compliance with the Quality System.

Adhere to safety, disposal, and gowning requirements (gowning as required by area).

Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Qualifications

Associate's Degree Associate’s degree in mechanical or electronics field required
-
2+ Years Two years experience working in manufacturing environment specific to troubleshooting and problem resolution practices. required
-
2+ Years Experience in Soldering. preferred
-
Experience working w/ GMP preferred.
