Job Title: Global Immunochemistry Laboratory Technician
Job Scope
Perform immunoanalytical tests for development of immunodiagnostic prototype assays and functional validation of critical bioreagents. Produce reliable, precise, and carefully recorded data to support Immunochemistry Group activities. Interpret and present findings to colleagues and supervisors
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Application and development of immunoanalytical tests on ELISA and on automated Chemiluminescent Immunoassay (CLIA) platform.
Clinical samples handling and preparation.
Preparation of buffers, stock and standard solutions, as well as of all the other solutions needed to perform the analytical tests.
Recording and analyzing data.
Troubleshooting of technical problems jointly with senior staff.
Operating and maintaining lab equipment.
Writing reports and summaries
Maintain laboratory notebook and follow general and laboratory SOPs.
Participate in laboratory meetings and project meetings.
Work in tight connection and collaboration with the immunochemistry team’s members
Communicate and collaborate with the other teams/departments
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Laboratory Techniques, Biotechnologies or related field
Minimum 2 years working experience in analytical methods, including immunoassays
Thorough knowledge of basic principles of immunoassays
Proficiency in performing ELISA testing
Knowledge of the main structural and chemico-physical properties of biomolecules (peptides, proteins, antibodies)
Experience with automated chemiluminescent immunoassay analyzers (CLIA) highly desirable
Microsoft Power Point, Word and Excel
Data elaboration through Excel highly desirable
Full autonomy in basic lab procedures and practices (e.g. buffers preparation, stoichiometric calculations, use of pH-meter, spectrophotometric measurements)
