Job Scope
The job consists in providing all required technical support to enable the laboratory to function effectively, in accordance to procedures and health and safety guidelines.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure equipments manteinance (calibration and cleaning) and documentations record in accordance with QA and EH&S requirements
- Monitoring of consumable and reagent stocks
- Order of consumables and reagents
- Support aliquoting and labelling of reagents and reagents preparation
- Support Quality department for Internal/External Audit preparation
- Support in quality maintenance of laboratory related documentation
- Plan and report activities together with the reference manager
- Communicate and liaise with other departments
- Organize collection of deliveries and shipment of reagents to other sites if necessary
- Work as part of the R&D team on the day-to-day lab activities (laboratory cleaning, RNA/DNA extractions, PCR/RT-PCR, cell colture)
- Carry out real time stability testing or incoming testing of raw material
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
Third Level Degree in a relevant Scientific discipline
Specialization
Preferred in Biology and Biotechnology
Experience:
Preferred at least 3 years in scientific laboratories (biology and biotechnology)
Technical Competencies:
- Seasoned experience in organizing a scientific laboratories in terms of provisions of consumables and reagents orders
- Knowledge of good molecular laboratory practice
- Preferred experience in cell cultures
- Preferred experience in DNA/RNA extraction and nucleic acids amplification techniques
- Seasoned experience using Microsoft Power Point, Word and Excel
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate and work with R&D team and other departments
• Good organizational and communication and interpersonal skills
- Interdisciplinary thought and quality awareness
- Good problem solving and decision-making skills
- Previous experience in leading junior lab technicians in day-to-day activities
- Well-organized with ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- High commitment, self-motivation and flexibility
Languages:
Good spoken and written English
Travel availability:
Some travel may be required
