Job Scope

The Senior Accountant will lead all day-to-day Benelux finance operations (accounting for investments, accounts payable and receivables general ledger, payroll, VAT, relationship management with banks and other vendors, internal & external audit, monthly closing) coordinating finance team daily job and collaborate in cross-countries supports and projects within the Region.

The Senior Accountant will work closety with Head of Accounting and Compliance but also with General Manager, Service Manager, Sales manager & Customer service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee all account (see Job Scope), ledgers. and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support Head of Accounting and Compliance for closing & audit activity.
• Consistently analyse financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner (respecting the deadlines); clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Assist Head of Accounting and Compliance and Controller in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual result.
• Support the Head of Accounting and Compliance in engaging the board's audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.
• Reporting any fluctuations and variances
• Working in compliance with government regulations.
• Control and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
• Perform ad hoc projects as needed

• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications 

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance
• Five to seven years of accounting and finance experience, ideally beginning in accounting and audit
• Experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, proactive. resistant to stress. accountable   Capacity to integrate in existing team and company culture
• Capacity to adapt to new situations with flexibility
• Flexibility in adopting and proposing change and innovation
• Namely to integrate into an existing team and communicate with the management and different functions in organization
• Technology savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software installations and managing relationships with software vendors; advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software (SAP, Oracle, Office, )
• Strong experience with Office mainly in Excel
• Language: French + English and Dutch is a plus
