Job Scope
The Assembly Lead, Consumables will be responsible for:
- Oversight of the process, personnel, documentation, and supply requirements of building of plastic parts into a medical device cassette for use by Engineering R&D, Clinical Studies and Product Sales.
- Overseeing the maintenance and/or calibration of equipment used for the manufacturing of product under the company Quality System.
- Following approved cGMP manufacturing instructions and personnel are required to complete a history record of the lot built per company Quality System.
- Providing feedback on the processes to assure continuous improvement by noting differences in parts, assemblies, tools, fixtures and process steps.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Drives execution of builds to meet demands and quality system requirements
- Involved in and oversees the building, testing, and visual inspection of parts, assemblies and final product according to outlined procedures
- Approves DHR for Manufacturing release to QA
- Maintains the integrity and cleanliness of work areas
- Assures adherence to safety.
- Assures proper material handling, labeling, and disposal of hazardous chemicals
- Assistances in the writing and disposition of NCMRs and provide support to action investigations and associated product and process changes.
- Establish an effective working partnership with other Luminex departments to promote effective communication and transfer knowledge/experience to others.
- Provides leadership and training to new employees
- Provide direct feedback to employees and on the manufacturing process.
- Assist in the editing of procedures and or records used in the build, test, and visual inspection.
- Assist in maintaining equipment integrity, performing maintenance and calibration of manufacturing measuring/monitoring devices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent required required
- Minimum Associates degree in technical electronics or mechanical field preferred
- 1+ Years experience working with manufacturing environment required
