Job Summary

This position will be responsible for leading or supporting various activities within Operations. Manages the successful execution of Operations deliverables as part of a cross-functional core team for New Product Development under Design Control and Technology Transfer internally or externally with other business units. Plans and executes investigations for NCRs/NCMRs, CAPAs or production troubleshooting. Maintain broad knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories. Interfaces with various departments. Uses professional concepts and relationships to contribute to the development and completion of company goals and objectives in creative and effective ways. Supports all applicable regulations including but not limited to FDA, ISO, and CMD/CAS requirements.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Subject Matter Expert in Operations for various molecular manufacturing products and processes.

  • Responsible for mentoring Scientists, Associate Scientists and Technicians.

  • Lead and influence teams to drive different projects towards company goals (Leadership Track).

  • Represent Operations in the cross-functional core team meetings.

  • Represent Technical Operations in Operations meetings.

  • Ensure that developed processes and formulations are designed for manufacturability .

  • Complete design transfer activities following established design control procedures.

  • Independently design, write and perform validations and transfer process modifications to Manufacturing processes.

  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for clear communication of scientific findings across interdisciplinary teams.

  • Modifies Manufacturing Specifications, work instructions, BOMs, other elements of Device Master Record as appropriate.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues concerning internal and external customers with a high degree of focused urgency.

  • Assist in technical training of operators as necessary.

  • Responsible for performing assigned tasks in accordance with applicable Environmental Health and Safety regulations and Company policies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned related duties as assigned.

 

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Scientific discipline or equivalent with 15 years of experience in a research or technical support, and or development environment. required

  • Master's Degree Scientific discipline or equivalent with 10 years of experience in a research or technical support, and or development environment. preferred

  • Ph.D. Scientific discipline or equivalent with 5 years of experience in a research or technical support, and or development environment. preferred
  • 10+ Years Ability to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors required

  • 10+ Years Ability to exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions required

  • 10+ Years Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought. Expert knowledge of scientific principles and concepts required

  • 5+ Years Normally receives no instructions on routine work and general instructions on new assignments. preferred

  • 10+ Years Ability to read, analyze, and interpret pertinent scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. required

  • 8+ Years Ability to respond to common and scientific inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community required

  • 8+ Years Ability to prepare presentations and manuscripts effectively to present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors required

  • 8+ Years Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. required

  • 8+ Years Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations required

  • 7+ Years Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Familiarity with Google Suite required

  • 8+ Years Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables required

  • 7+ Years Ability to work as an independent investigator required

  • 7+ Years Strong leadership, verbal and written communications, organizational and team skills. required

  • 7+ Years Works collaboratively within group as well as within interdisciplinary teams required

  • 7+ Years Manages time effectively demonstrating ability to perform multiple projects at one time required

  • 7+ Years Excellent organizational and communication skills preferred

  • 7+ Years Strong analytical and problem-solving skills preferred

Travel Requirements

  • 10% Domestic travel
