Job Scope

To provide technical support and delivery in all areas of network technology including switches, routers, wireless, SD-WAN, firewalls, and related security.   

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementation, support, and maintenance of our network infrastructure globally
  • Work on complex network projects & work with external technical resources on related technical activities
  • Provide support for all network related services & projects globally.
  • Monitoring of network stability, availability, and performance
  • Participate with ISO IT audits & support remediation efforts as needed
  • Physical work in office & plant environments including rack/stack of hardware, cabling, & troubleshooting
  • Stay up to date on industry trends & support plans to implement in the network space
  • Execute change management according to documented procedures
  • Participate in afterhours & on call activities as needed
  • Ensure compliance with the Code of Ethics, the Quality Management System, the Company Policies and the Corporate Procedures.
  • Monitoring and maintenance of existing IT infrastructure components to ensure network functionality, security and availability while complying to best-practice IT/Cyber-security principles and approaches
  • Ability to collaborate with the local business and act as a liaison for IT Infrastructure activities
  • Work with external suppliers, consultants and worldwide internal customers
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

Computer Science or a related subject University degree or equivalent experience

Specialization in Scientific/Technical/Computer Science or equivalent

At least 5 years of relevant experience

Hands on experience deploying & managing network equipment including switches, routers, & firewalls.

Experience managing Aruba wireless.

Switch & wireless hardware deployment experience in a global environment

Hands on experience deploying & managing SDWAN technology

Data center experience

Manufacturing plant network delivery & support at infrastructure level

5+ years experience in routing, switching.

Certification or experience with ITIL Foundation

Experience with co-location facilities is a plus.

Experience with Aruba Clearpass, Solarwinds and CUCM is a plus

Knowledge of Aruba Central & Palo Alto hardware is a plus.

Knowledge of dynamic routing is a plus.
