Job Scope
The District Manager (DM) is a key position in “Commercial Italy” organization.
The person has the complete responsibility of the assigned area in terms of commercial goals and results, together with the management of the team.
The DM has to grant the annual assigned targets, cost control and management and set the ground for the success of the next coming years.
He/she works following the guidelines, KPI’s, Targets and priorities given by the Country Manager.
Is able to manage a sales team of different profiles: KAM, Sales Reps, Agencies, Molecular Specialists, Field PM.
The DM is a professional with the following characteristics:
- Is a person with a strong territory knowledge.
- Translates targets into action plans with follow up and punctual reports.
- Is a leader and a team player, being able to develop capabilities and competences internally
- Is the most important referent with the customers,
- Support the integration and connections of the sales team with the other functions
- Has a strong experience developed in IVD or Medical Device or related segments, managing sales team and expanding the business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assure the annual results in terms of sales, profitability of all business lines including Molecular and QFT.
- Drive the sales team in terms of definition of goals, activities and expected outcomes
- Plans and defines commercial projects and special campaigns with strong execution control
- Defines commercial priorities based on the local healthcare system evolution
- Defines tactical partnerships with other companies, depending on district needs
- Build a strong relationship with the most important customers and KOLs
- Is responsible of the monthly and yearly forecast (sales and instruments)
- Drive the punctual implementation and tracking activities on SFDC.
- Keen to understand needs and being proactive in the development of the team
- Supports the integration of the sales team with the other functions of Commercial Italy
- Grants the respect of our code of conduct
Education/ Specialization:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience:
>10 years experience in Sales.
Professional and Leadership Competences:
- Proved Sales capabilities in IVD or Medical Device industry.
- Ability to lead the dialogue with KOLs and big customers
- Good reputation and personal contacts with opinion leaders and end users.
- Facilitate effective connections in the organization and build consensus
- Self-motivated with high level of energy and focus to make things happen. Resilience.
- Manages complexity.
- People management skills.
- Availability to travel on a regular basis.
- Excellent communication skills
