Job Scope

The Global Immuno Planner for Plastics (Liaison Products) is responsible for ensuring the proper and timely planning, and availability of plastic materials at global level, supporting the several Liaison products manufacturing sites.

The role acts as a key liaison between global sites, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to guarantee alignment between demand, supply, stock policies, and production needs.

The position combines material planning responsibilities with operational purchasing activities, including purchase order issuance and supplier follow-up.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Calculate material requirements for plastics (quantity and delivery dates) based on MRP outputs, forecasts, and agreed stock policies
  • Monitor and manage global inventory levels of plastics, ensuring optimal stock coverage and avoiding shortages or excess
  • Analyze demand variability, supply constraints, and proactively adjust planning parameters
  • Ensure availability of materials for production schedules for the Liaison Products
  • Review and optimize safety stocks, reorder points, and planning strategies
  • Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders in SAP, according to defined Supply Agreements
  • Issue purchase orders to suppliers and ensure timely confirmation
  • Monitor purchase orders progress (including call-offs), identify delays, and implement mitigation actions
  • Expedite or postpone orders based on changes in demand or inventory
  • Maintain accurate confirmed delivery dates in SAP and ensure data reliability
  • Act as primary interface for plastics Liaison products between global sites (Italy, UK, US)
  • Support UK site planning activities ensuring alignment with Immuno global supply chain strategy
  • Coordinate intercompany flows and ensure timely shipments of raw materials
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams to ensure end-to-end supply continuity
  • Analyze Supply Chain and Inventory KPIs (e.g., service level, stock coverage, obsolescence, supplier reliability) 
  • Identify improvement opportunities in planning processes and supplier performance
  • Contribute to S&OP and demand review processes with data-driven insights

 

 

Education, Experience, and Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics or equivalent
  • Preferably 2–4 years of experience in in supply chain, planning, or purchasing roles
  • Experience in material planning and/or procurement is preferred
  • Experience in a global/multi-site environment is a plus
  • SAP (MRP, Purchasing, Inventory Management), Strong Excel and data analysis skills
  • Knowledge of forecasting methods and inventory planning, Understanding of supply chain processes (S&OP, procurement, logistics)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Attention to detail and data accuracy, Proactivity and ability to manage priorities, Strong stakeholder management and communication skills (international context), Team player with ability to work cross-functionally, Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Native Italian and fluent English.
