Job Scope

Develop and implement analytical and molecular methods, ensuring the delivery of required deliverables and documentation in compliance with project timelines, in collaboration with internal and external customers and suppliers.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assay design, testing and data analysis
  • Reporting of experiments in the Laboratory Notebook and other proper documentation for Design Control
  • Preparation of technical reports and presentations
  • Define and test new raw materials, product innovations and processes
  • Perform activities in compliance with Quality Standard and Standard Operating Procedure requirements

 

Education, Experience, and Qualifications 

  • Master’s Degree Molecular Biology, Genetics, Chemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent
  • At least 3 years in molecular biology laboratories (microbiology preferred)
  • Previous experience in IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) environments and biotechnology industry preferred
  • Molecular Product Development experience would be a distinct advantage
  • Demonstrated experience in molecular biology (PCR, RT-PCR and Real-Time PCR preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability on data handling and data analysis
  • Experience using Microsoft Power Point, Word and Excel
  • Experience with statistic tools
  • Accuracy
  • Comprehension of technical issues in molecular assays and problem solving
  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to set up and optimize assays
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capability
  • Well-organized with ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • High commitment, self-motivation and flexibility
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Italian and English
