Job Scope

 

We are looking for a full-time Technical Applications Specialist to join our APAC Export team. The work location of this role is flexible. This role can be based in Singapore, Bangkok (Thailand), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), or Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). This role will report to the Export Director, APAC who is based in Singapore. 

The scope for the role is wide, considering both pre and post sales scientific and technical support. The role supports the sales & marketing team, helping with training and scientific verifications, validations, evaluations as well as post-installation and ongoing support to distributors and end customers. This role is high energy and highly collaborative, bringing together many stakeholders in projects. Being a part of both APAC Export (approximately 24 countries in Asia) and the wider APAC team, which includes India and ANZ, you are a strong and confident scientist who manages well the communication and project management that often goes with the role. You understand the need for some people skills as well as technical skills and you have a strong ability and desire to travel frequently in the region, and occasionally outside the region for training or conferences. This role requires the confidence to be independent in your approach and the skill and desire to collaborate. 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Scientific and technical lead to Diasorin APAC Export customers along with APAC Regional Product Managers

  • Successfully collaborate with APAC Export team, Distributors and end customers on projects and product evaluations

  • Manage the communication between distributors, end customers to Corporate especially with Product Enquiries, or complaints.

  • Training of distributors and end customers through travels in the APAC region

  • Occasional scientific/technical presentations, regulatory coordination and Reporting as required

 

Education, Experience, and Qualifications 

 

You must be a self-motivated, enthusiastic, and technically capable person to partner with our growing team. You have significant experience in a clinical diagnostics lab, ideally with demonstrated immunoassays evaluation experience, or experience with a current IVD supply company, or both. Previous experience with Diasorin products is an advantage but not mandatory.

You possess strong interpersonal/communication skills, emotional & social intelligence, and above all, the personal integrity required to represent our company and our brands. You will want to grow, learn and enjoy the clinical aspects of our product lines. You need to have the following attributes to be considered:

 

  • Minimum 5 years IVD Clinical diagnostics systems experience, ideally working knowledge of immunodiagnostic equipment, infectious diseases, and molecular diagnostics.

  • Previous experience in a highly regulated environment and biotechnology industry and/or professional experience as application specialist in a clinical department at hospital or laboratory or IVD industry.

  • Hands-on experience in doing the evaluation of diagnostics testing.

  • Knowledge and skills in assay evaluation following CLIA & CAP guidelines, operating software for IVD instruments and test quality monitoring.

  • Knowledge and understanding of immunology and immunoassay technology.

  • Ability to demonstrate and explain correct operation of equipment and software.

  • Seasoned experience using Microsoft Power Point, Work and Excel.

  • Very good knowledge of modern software incluidng QC packages.

  • Excellent communication skills and prompt internal / external customer response rate.

  • High problem-solving and decision-making capability.

  • Effective project management and analytical skills.

  • Interdisciplinary thought and quality awareness.

  • Well-organized, ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.

  • Fluent and clear spoken and written English, other Asian languages an advantage.

  • Mandatory flexibility, preferably enjoys extensive travel. Administratively, work from home.
