Job Scope
This position is responsible for overseeing and supervising material sourcing and processing and manufacturing and quality control testing of antibodies, esters, conjugates, peptides and purified proteins for further use in manufacturing in-vitro diagnostic products.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise 3-7 team members.
- Support team goals for Backorder, Obsolescence, Scrap and other annual goals.
- Work with Reagent Manufacturing managers and supervisors to manage critical raw material build schedule and QC activities.
- Meet with employees on a regular basis to review build schedule, questions and production yields, HPLC and column maintenance. Follow up with employees to ensure actions required for critical raw material production are followed through.
- Analyze results of quality control testing based on established guidelines.
- Oversee training of new employees and help plan/execute training program for the entire group. Ensure completion of new employee training syllabus.
- Assign work to distribute group workload evenly and appropriately according to skill and experience level.
- Help guide employees through builds and quality control activities.
- Implement replacement materials and update specifications for supplier changes and/or discontinuations.
- Write and help employees write ECO's, validation plans/reports and Deviations, NCR and Risk Assessments.
- Perform reviews at 6 months and annually thereafter. Includes competency assessments and salary actions.
- Review batch records prior to final approval and determine disposition of products requiring technical review.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Provide input for annual team budget.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant life science field or a 2 year degree with equivalent experience is required
- Master's Degree in relevant life science field or a 2 year degree with equivalent experience is preferred
- +5 years of laboratory experience or demonstrated laboratory competence within the in-vitro diagnostic industry
- Comprehensive understanding of immunology and immunoassay technology and systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of protein chemistry and analytical techniques.
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of good manufacturing practices (GMP)
- Functional knowledge of laboratory and manufacturing equipment and processes
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of statistical analysis and reporting methods
- Ability to supervise a team of 3-7 Process Scientists

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $80,123 - $97,928 annually. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. Beyond base salary, Diasorin offers a competitive rewards package focused on your overall well-being.
