Job Scope

The CRM Technical Supervisor (TSV), is responsible for technical support of raw material qualifications and shelf life extensions in order to supply the manufacturing pipeline and maintain strategic inventory of critical materials.  The TSV role will provide technical guidance and support to validations, material replacement projects, investigation projects and raw material qualification process improvements. The TSV role will also serve as the main raw material point of contact for new product development efforts.  This position will collaborate with the Reagent Manufacturing, Manufacturing QC, Inventory, Purchasing, Procurement, Quality, Product Development and Product Transfer teams.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

 

Provide technical expertise in the assessment of raw material qualification and shelf life extension activities.

Develop and maintain process and product expertise related to critical raw materials

Provide advanced analytical support to the raw materials team by ensuring raw materials meet analytical quality specifications using techniques such as SDS PAGE, capillary electrophoresis, Mass Spectrometry, etc.

Participate as a key contributor to the quality control approach of raw materials during new product development projects

Identify and implement like for like raw material substitutions according to business needs

Write and execute validation protocols and reports resulting from raw material changes

Assure quality by using standard methodologies and resolve issues by working cross-functionally with impacted departments and teams

Develop and identify continuous improvement opportunities and solutions to problems through root cause investigation and data evaluation

Direct project execution by assigning tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans

Write NC’s, OOS’s and Change Plans, to ensure the quality of product and processes.

Follow quality and regulatory requirements

 

Education, Experience, and Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Technology, or related science field required
  • 5+ years of related laboratory experience and/or demonstrated competence within the in-vitro diagnostic industry and protein chemistry techniques
  • Communicate effectively, collaborate efficiently with co-workers (cross functions and/or sites) and be able to train junior level associates and/or scientists.
  • Deep knowledge of understanding of protein chemistry, immunology and immunoassay techniques
  • Proficient in designing and conducting process improvement techniques within the areas of immunology and immunoassays
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis and reporting methods
  • Proficient in designing techniques and knowledge of general lab equipment (e.g., pH meter, balances, mixers, etc.)
  • Broad knowledge of new methods and technologies with a strong understanding of how to manufacture an IVD product
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to efficiently evaluate, prioritize and handle multiple changing projects and priorities
  • Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to technically manage projects and junior staff members
  • Must be hands-on, self-directed, organized and conscientious individual that can thrive in multidisciplinary team environment
  • Ability to summarize complex information and present to varied audiences

 

 

What we offer

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $105,000 Annually. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. Beyond base salary, Diasorin offers a competitive rewards package focused on your overall well-being.
