A Brief Overview
This position will be responsible to assist in maintaining commercial properties by performing & overseeing site maintenance (performed internally and externally) and maintain a customer-service and quality oriented facilities operation.

 

What you will do
  • Promptly prioritize, assign and respond to service tickets related to minor-moderate facilities maintenance, including, but not limited to electrical, HVAC and plumbing maintenance allowed without a license within state law requirements, routine carpentry work.

  • Monitor completion of service tickets by facilities associates, if applicable.

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of facilities issues, coordinate with external vendors as required.

  • Oversee execution of the site scheduled maintenance program

  • Serve as application administrator for automated environmental monitoring system and card access software

  • Assist with the identification of process improvements (including selection of new vendors or products or implementation of new internal programs)

  • Participate in site safety committee functions, including facilities support of general waste, biohazard/medical waste disposal, hazardous chemical disposal, and general site safety.

  • Assist with projects such as reconfiguring buildings, moving office space, and other light facilities functions. Assemble and move furniture, equipment and other items as needed

  • Follow all internal SOPs to ensure compliance to all applicable local, state and federal regulations. Assist in drafting and revision of facilities SOPs.

  • Provide documentation support to departments within Quality Management System on events, which may affect production, or other departments. Includes use of Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

  • Communicate to internal customers on the status of requests/projects.

  • Create requisitions within electronic ERP system as assigned

  • Ability to be on a rotating “on call” list for emergencies

  • Provide support for new projects which the department is assigned

  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary

  • Identify and report or remediate issues that affect safety, security or building aesthetics

 

Education Qualifications
  • H.S. Diploma H.S. Diploma or equivalent such as GED required required

  • Associate's Degree Associate’s degree in related field and/or technical or trade certification preferred
Experience Qualifications
  • 1+ Years Demonstration of formal training in trades and/or maintenance. (OTJ or classroom is acceptable) required

  • 5+ Years Experience in a facilities or maintenance field or related experience required

  • 5+ Years Competency with computer software use including word processing, spread sheet preparation preferred

  • 1+ Years Experience in a GMP, ISO and/or FDA regulated environment highly desired preferred
Training and Skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of OSHA regulations (minimum 10-hour training)

  • Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints, without direct supervision.

  • Ability to oversee and direct day-to-day activities of site facilities associates.

  • Ability to act as a conduit to upper department management for critical information transmission.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with internal and external contacts.

  • Superior customer service skills, initiative and orientation.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work flexible schedule.

  • Must be ambitious to learn and develop

  • Ability to interpret or work from sketches, building plans, specifications and oral or written instructions.

  • Advanced hands-on experience with basic hand tools.

  • Experience working within cGMP regulations

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office programs (including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio) as well as ability to learn proficient daily use of electronic ticket system, maintenance tracking systems, environmental monitoring system and ERP system.

Licenses and Certifications
  • Drivers License - Endorsement P (Passenger) required

  • HVAC Certification preferred

Travel Requirements
  • 10% Travel may be required
