Job Scope

The Cloud Connectivity Development Lead will manage the, development, evolution and maintenance of the Instrument Cloud platform for all Diasorin Systems.

Will also ensure that the regular running and the required post launch operations can work according to the standards defined by the level of service expected by internal as well external customers and users.

Will collect inputs from all stakeholders and transform them in requirements for the developers.

From a technical standpoint, will act as a point of reference and owner for cloud related topics.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Cloud Connectivity Platform Development by clarifying and defining software requirements from customer needs, instrument manufacturer, service, marketing, business and assay R&D.
  • Oversee the Design and development of software platform for diagnostics instrumentation data collection and analysis.
  • Coordinate development work among third party developers and external service providers.
  • Define, review and update software specifications and design details derived from user requirements.
  • Define technical documentation needs related to the cloud platform under development or maintenance.
  • Contribute actively to troubleshoot software.
  • Investigate on anomalous and/or uncommon situations.
  • Edit, review and manage software verification/validation/unit test plans and protocols.
  • Interact with the Instrument Software development areas within the Team in order to investigate the feasibility of proposed implementations and solutions.
  • Interact with other Company functions, in order to provide team’s expertise and support to problem solving.
  • Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System, the Company Policies and the Corporate Procedures.
  • Responsible for performing assigned tasks in accordance with applicable safety regulations and instructions, as well as correcting unsafe work habits and practices and/or bringing to the attention of the supervisor any practice or condition that may be detrimental to the safety and health of the employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate internal and virtual (contractors) team of developers

 

Education, Experience, and Qualifications 

 

Education / Specialization: 

Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering of Computing Systems

 

Experience:

  • 5-10 year experience in software programming is a plus
  • Previous experience in IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) and/or highly regulated FDA environments and biotechnology industry experience is highly appreciated

 

Technical Competencies:

 

  • Applied knowledge of computing systems and software structure.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Platform is desired (Azure, AWS, Google)
  • Knowledge of SQL based database is desirable
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity principles for secure coding approach are desirable
  • Understanding of computing systems, software architecture, data structures and algorithms
  • Experience in Agile/SCRUM enterprise-scale software development
  • Knowledge of embedded systems (Linux OS, ARM processor, PIC components and custom ICs) is desirable
  • Knowledge of Polymerase Chain Reaction and/or molecular biology principles is desirable
  • Seasoned experience using Microsoft Office package.
  • Test software applications and systems
  • Create specifications documentation, manuals and detailed sets of instructions

Languages:

Fluent spoken and written Italian and English.

 

Travel availability:

Periodical travels may be required, based on ongoing project phases (max. typical: a few days every 1-3 months)

 

 

What We Offer

  • Permanent employment contract
    • Classification under the Chemical-Pharmaceutical CCNL (Italian national collective bargaining agreement)
    • Gross annual base salary from € 46.200,00
    • Variable compensation linked to the achievement of objectives

Actual pay is set on objective criteria: seniority, distinctive skills, scope of responsibility.
