Objective of the position

Customer support in a defined area

 

Main tasks

  • Support and expansion of business relationships with existing customers (hospitals, private laboratories)
  • Identifying and acquiring new customers - Selling the company's immunodiagnostic and molecular diagnostic products, including negotiating financing agreements
  • Sales and earnings responsibility for the area in question
  • Observing and analyzing developments and trends as well as the competitive situation in the diagnostics market in order to derive the need for action for the company
  • Planning device placements, sales and contribution margin targets with the line manager, specified by customer and product
  • Professional development at conferences, seminars, meetings and training events
  • Organization and intensive support of installations, device demonstrations and evaluations together with Technology, Application, Marketing & Customer Service
  • Participation in trade fairs and congresses
  • Analyzing customer structures and decision-making processes and implementing the knowledge gained in the area of responsibility
  • Maintaining a permanent, sales-specific knowledge transfer with colleagues and superiors
  • Collaboration with product management, application, sales management and customer service
  • Documenting visits, specific projects and results as well as regular reporting to sales management as part of the reporting system; constantly updating and maintaining customer-specific data in the company's own CRM system
  • Recording, forwarding and co-processing of complaints and customer enquiries/wishes (in accordance with MPG), input into the Products & Services database
  • Special tasks on a case-by-case basis

 

Education

Completed training preferably in the healthcare / life science sector or with a commercial background

Professional experience

  • Several years of experience in field service in the field of laboratory systems and/or immunology
  • Professional experience in a routine laboratory
  • Sound technical and market knowledge in the field of in-vitro diagnostics
  • Professional experience in sales of in-vitro diagnostics with proven success

  • Successful project management experience
  • Business fluent in written and spoken English and technical vocabulary
  • Confident in using a PC, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), Lotus Notes and other communication tools such as smartphones and tablets
  • Willingness to travel
